Physiotherapy and Orthotics Training school SRC week celebration updates

PHYSIOTHERAPY AND ORTHOTICS TRAINING SCHOOL 2019/2020 SRC WEEK CELEBRATION UPDATE.

The 2019/2020 SRC week celebration of the St. John of God College of health, formerly physiotherapy and Orthotics Training school, Duayaw Nkwanta began today on 14th March, 2020.

As part of the activities of the week, the school on this day had soccer competition with the sister school in the vicinity;Presbyterian Midwifery Nursing Training School.

Speaking to the President, he stated categorically clear that, indeed his time of office remains second to none because  the numerous recent changes happening in the school remain quite unclear to him as to why it's during his tenure of office numerous developmental projects underway.  He regarded his time as "time of development".  Construction of the road, ongoing construction of volley ball court, ongoing construction of sanitary facility, all happening in his time of office.

The most dangerous aspect he stressed was on the confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ghana. He said students have been enlightened on the relevance of preventive measures put in place by the Ministry of Health and other health agencies.
Washing of hands with soap under running water, keeping away from sick persons who cough, sneeze and have fever, avoiding handshaking, reducing or avoiding social gathering, whilst practicing proper hand washing and applying hand sanitizer with about 70% alcoholic concentration and many more were highlighted as safety protocols amid the covid-19.

The health prefect of the College, DAVID MENSAH DELLA, also stressed that, student have been advised to be using hand sanitizer more often to supplement the preventive measures against the spread of the said disease.
He also said that, the students should avoid or limit  hand shaking if possible or apply the proper washing technique or apply hand sanitizer as soon as they shake hands. These he said, wouldn't be of much effective to prevent cross infection but is better than none after the hand shaking.

THE GAME ITSELF

Back to the competition,  volley ball between the sister school ladies and ladies of the St. John of God College of health ended with a score of 2-0 against the sister school.
The inter class soccer competition started with third years against first year guys.
The soccer started at exactly 12:30pm with strong players from different entities.

Selected players from the first year class for the ⚽
Third years players selected for the competition.

The game continued for just a few minutes and the first year guys had their first goal against the third years. This goal was as a result of a penalty they had when the ball hit the hand of an opponent from the third year. A very strong young guy by name Fahad from the first year team, scored that perfect goal. Struggling for defeat, the third years also had a single chance somewhere in the eighteen yard box and they were also able to kick perfectly into the goal post during the second half. Later, the first years had another goal where the third years tried harder to settle but to no avail. At the end, it was 2-1 against the third years.

Woeful side of companionship

WOEFUL  SIDE OF COMPANIONSHIP  The human life is dependable. In every aspect of our lives, companionship may be beneficial and could remain the  hallmark of the greatest life achievement yet could also be woeful to human achievement. Companionship could have both negative and positive impact on human life. Many successful people in most part of the world today had their success reliably on either the type of company they spent their whole life with, whereas many failed people in numerous places had theirs attributed to the type of company they associated. These are different entities, but in all, you should personally know which company you are living with and their impact on your life at the long round. Companionship is defined as company or friendship or the state of being with someone in a friendly way. It is highly impressive how a mere friendship with someone may result in posing negative impact on your life and how same friendship posed pos...

Discipline as a tool for academic excellence

A TRUE LIFE STORY  Discipline from my own understanding is the act of doing what is right at the right time. It can also be used to describe the term "punishment", as many book of taught may defined it. Since I became a grown up, I have noticed that the success of everything partly rely on discipline. Discipline runs through all aspect of life. Education, health, political, and religious aspects of life. Even the development of a country may depend on how discipline the people in the country are. However, a country which entertains indiscipline may always lag behind in terms of development compared to a country who enforce discipline by putting disciplinary measures in place. Similarly, on the aspect of education, discipline is a panacea  for academic excellence. Setting as an example, my indiscipline lifestyle caused me to be repeated in primary one. In 2003, as a six year l boy, I always wanted ...
